Not only can regular tire rotations, balances and annual alignments help prolong the life of your tires, but so can several simple inspections you can mostly do in the comfort of your own driveway.

• Checking your Tire Pressure– Even though your TPMS light may not on, it is still important to check your tire pressure, as over inflated tires may not react properly to braking, accelerations or steering commands. You can find the correct PSI for your tires either on the sticker in your drivers side door jam or in your owner’s manual. 
• Visual Inspection of your Tires– Make sure to keep an eye for cracks, bulges or bubbles, objects like large pebbles, punctures or uneven tread wear on your tires. One of the easiest ways to test the tread on your tires is to grab a penny and insert President Lincoln’s head into the tread pattern. The less of his head you see, the better off your tires are. 
• Driving Awareness– If you use your Honda for carrying or hauling heavy loads, be aware of the load capacity of your tires. Being aware of your speed is also important, as faster driving leads to more heat being produced by your tires as they hit the road, thus wearing them down faster.
